que n’és de petit el món!
Tu ens empenys a tots vers la vall,
cap dins a les petites cabanes.
I si jo passo davant
la casa de la meva estimada,
a penes veig el seu petit cap
esguardant a la seva finestra.

Oh estiu, formós estiu,
que ampli s’esdevé el món!
Com més alt hom puja a la muntanya,
més vast s’estén.
I si tu estiguessis damunt d’una roca,
estimada meva! Et cridaria.
L’eco ho faria ressonar al lluny,
però ningú més que tu ho sentiria.
I si t’agafés amb els meus braços
a la lliure alçària de la muntanya,
esguardaríem la vasta contrada,
però ningú ens podria veure.
