Die Winde verstummen,
Und athmen noch kaum;
Die Bienlein umsummen

Zwein volle Pokale
Gebühren dem Mai.
Er träuft auf die Blüten
Sein Roth und sein Weiß;

el mes de maig ja ha començat
i ens hem d’alegrar!
Els vents han emmudit
i a penes respiren;
les petites abelles bugonen
als arbres florits.

Un parell de copes plenes
pertoquen al maig.
Ell fa degotar damunt les flors
el seu rosat i el seu blanc;
