Trudom
 (Sung text for setting by E. Grieg)
 See base text
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Guds rike er eit fredens rike,
men det til ufred vendest om.
Der førest strid forutan like,
so nåden fær så lite rom.
Dei beste livet lata må
fordi dei meir enn andre sjå.

 ...

Gud vil oss endå nådig hyrda,
og sist frå vilska få oss bort;
han veit, at om vi broder myrda,
so for hans skuld det alt vert gjort,
i nåde den han tenkjer på,
som drap for himlen sjølv å få.
