Aus den Winterskizzen
(Sung text for setting by R. Würst)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Augen, meine Augen,
die schmerzen mich so sehr:
Es ist so kalt der Winter,
und ist so weiß umher.

Ach Frühling, holder Frühling,
wie weilest du so fern!
Ich hab' dein sanftes Wehen,
dein mildes Grün so gern.

Dürft' ich nur einmal tauchen
in deine grüne Lust,
die Augen würden mir heiter,
und heiter meine Brust.
