Wiegenlied
 (Sung text for setting by H. Kufferath)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Liebchen, laß dich küssen !
Liebchen, gute Nacht!
Wirst nun schlafen müssen;
Hast genug gewacht.
  Nun schließ die Äugelein!
  Schlaf' ein, schlaf' ein, schlaf' ein.

Finst're Traumgestalten,
Bleibt vom Liebchen fern,
Gottes Engel walten
Um die Kindlein gern.
  Fallt zu, ihr Äugelein,
  Und schlaf', mein Kind, schlaf' ein!

Deine Wangengrübchen
Lächeln immer noch;
Aber schlafen, Liebchen,
Schlafen mußt du doch!
  Fallt zu, ihr Äugelein!
  Schlaf' ein, süßes Kind, schlaf' ein!
