Aus tiefster Seele Grund; 
Diese Sonne thut mich mahnen
An unsre Abschiedsstund'. 

Du musstest mich verlassen, 
Und wußte, du stürbest bald; 
Du warst der scheidende Sommer, 
Ich bin der sterbende Wald.
