Mein Leben ist Singen und Wandern;
Als Gott, unser Herr, die Welt erschuf,
Da gab er sie den Andern.

Doch, was das Gemüth des Menschen bewegt,
Ich kann es singen und sagen,
Kann den Lenz, der im eigenen Herzen sich regt,
Hinaus in die Lande tragen.
