O Frühlingshauch, o Liederlust
(Sung text for setting by O. Schoeck)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
O Frühlingshauch, o Liederlust,
Wie liegt ihr mir im Gemüthe!
Kaum prangen Busch und Baum im Blust,
Steht auch mein Herz in Blüthe.

Mein Herz ist wie ein grüner Hag,
Das ist ein Zwitschern und Schallen...
Da nisten die lustigen Finken am Tag
Und Abends die Nachtigallen.

  • by Heinrich Leuthold (1827 - 1879), no title, appears in Gedichte, in 1. Vermischte Gedichte, in Spielmannsweisen, no. 1
