Die Bleiche
(Sung text for setting by F. Draeseke)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Ist auf deines Herzens Herd
Alles Feuer ausgegangen,
Daß auf deinen bleichen Wangen
Noch der Schnee liegt unverweht?

Komm! mir ist so frühlingswarm,
Komm' zu mir, du Halberfrorne,
Zünd' das Feuer, das verlor'ne,
Wieder an in meinem Arm!

Horch! schon fängt dein Herz ganz still,
Aber schneller an zu klopfen,
Und die süssen Augen tropfen
Wie die Tannen im April.

Und neugierig schauen zwei
Junge Röslein von den Wangen,
Ob der Schnee schon weggegangen
Und der Lenz gekommen sei?
