D' Störchli
(Sung text for setting by H. Goetz)
 See original
Language: Swiss German (Schwizerdütsch)
Mys Chindli gsescht das Storchenäst
Uf säbem hoche Huus?
Es sind drü jungi Störchli drin,
Si gugged her, sie gugged hin,
Wohl über's Dörfli uus.

Was strecked's ihri Hälsli so?
Was möchted si gern gseh? -
Si gugged nah em Müetterli,
Es will ene es Füetterli
Zum Abigesse geh.

Und gsesch es dert, das Müetterli,
Im grüene Wiesli stah?
I syne rothe Strümpflene
Suecht's na de beste Mümpflene
Die's derte möchti hah.

Da macht es Fröschli: quag! quag! quag!
Und - wips! hät's es bym Bey,
Und bringt mit raschem Flügelschlag,
So geschwind's au numme flüüge mag,
Das Brätli freudig hey.

Die Junge speered d' Schnäbeli,
Und möchted's Fröschli ha;
Das Müetti aber seit: nu, nu!
Ihr beedi da, thüend d' Schnäbel zu,
Es gaht dem Alter nah.

 ...

So sorget es de ganze Tag
Für d' Chindli, ohni Rueh:
Und chunt denn d' Nacht, macht's ihne 's Bett,
Vo Flu und Moos, und deckt's so nett
Mit syne Flügle zue.
