Nachtlied im Walde
(Sung text for setting by F. Holstein)
 See original

Composition:

Set to music by Franz von Holstein (1826 - 1878), "Nachtlied im Walde", op. 15 (Vierzehn Lieder für zwei weibliche Stimmen (im Freien zu singen)) no. 14, published 1864

Text Authorship:

  • by August Becker (1828 - 1891), no title, appears in Jung Friedel der Spielmann: ein lyrisch-episches Gedicht aus dem deutschen Volksleben des sechzehnten Jahrhunderts, in Spielmanns Wanderlieder, no. 14, first published 1854
