Liebesglück
 (Sung text for setting by J. Rheinberger)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mein Herz ist wie der Himmel
So sternenklar,
So blütenvoll als nimmer
Ein Frühling war;
So sangvoll und so klangvoll,
Als ob der Mai
Mit allen Nachigallen
Darinnen sei!

 ...

Mein Herz ist wie die Meerflut,
So tief bewegt,
So fest und treu, wie Urfels,
An den sie schlägt;
Und frei und hoch kann's fliegen,
Dem Adler gleich,
Der schwebet über Wolken
Ins Sonnenreich.

Mein Herz ist, lächle, lächle,
Geliebtes Kind!
Voll Übermut, wie alle
Verliebte sind.
Und wenn's zu stolzen Bildern
Sich kühn vermisst,
So will's doch nur dir sagen,
Wie's selig ist.
