Návštěva
(Sung text for setting by A. Dvořák)
 Matches base text
Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the Irish (Gaelic)
Nuž, zdobte se kvítím, ať zaplane zář,
dnes rekovnou vojína uzříme tvář.
Ať žalu, ať strasti dnes domov náš prost,
k nám zavítá v dnešní den želaný host.

On do boje spěchá vždy s potěšením,
on útěchu přináší porobeným.
On domov svůj opouští, by chránil vlast,
tu novinu zvěstujte všem krajinám:
on vítězem vrací se dnes z boje k nám.

Composition:

    Set to music by Antonín Dvořák (1841 - 1904), "Návštěva", B. 601 no. 2
