Heimweh
(Sung text for setting by F. Abt)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT
Wo auf hohen Tannenspitzen,
Die so dunkel und so grün,
Drosseln gern verstohlen sitzen,
Weiss und rot die Moose blühn:
Zu der Heimat in der Ferne
Zög' ich heute noch so gerne.

Wo in's Silber frischer Wellen
Schaut die Sonne hoch herein,
Spielen heimlich die Forellen
In der Erlen grünem Schein:
Zu der Heimat in der Ferne
Zög' ich heute noch so gerne.

 ...

Wo die Hirtenfeuer brennen,
Durch den Wald die Herde zieht,
Wo mich alle Felsen kennen,
Drüberhin die Wolke flieht:
Zu der Heimat in der Ferne
Zög' ich heute noch so gerne.

 ...

Doch mein Leid ist nicht zu ändern,
Zieht das Heimweh mich zurück,
Hält mich doch in fremden Ländern
Unerbittlich das Geschick:
Zu der Heimat in der Ferne
Zög' ich heute noch so gerne.

Allà on, a les altes capçades dels avets
(Sung text translation for setting by F. Abt)
 See original
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Allà on, a les altes capçades dels avets,
que són tan fosques i verdes,
s’hi paren de grat furtivament els tords,
on blanca i vermella floreix la molsa:
a la llunyana terra nadiua
tornaria avui de bon grat.

Allà on, en l’argent de vigoroses onades
hi esguarda el sol alterós,
les truites juguen d’amagat
en la verda resplendor de la verneda:
a la llunyana terra nadiua
tornaria avui de bon grat.

 ...

Allà on cremen els focs dels pastors
i el ramat travessa el bosc,
on tots els penyals em coneixen
i els núvols hi volen al damunt:
a la llunyana terra nadiua
tornaria avui de bon grat.

 ...

Però la meva pena no es pot esmenar,
si l’enyorança em faria tornar,
el destí inexorable
em fa restar en terra estranya:
a la llunyana terra nadiua
tornaria avui de bon grat.
