Helft mir, ihr Schwestern
(Sung text for setting by R. Schumann)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT CHI DAN DUT ENG ENG FRE HEB ITA NOR RUS
Helft mir, ihr Schwestern,
Freundlich mich schmücken,
Dient der Glücklichen heute mir.
Windet geschäftig
Mir um die Stirne
Noch der blühenden Myrte Zier.

Als ich befriedigt,
Freudigen Herzens,
Sonst dem Geliebten im Arme lag,
Immer noch rief er,
Sehnsucht im Herzen,
Ungeduldig den heutigen Tag.

Helft mir, ihr Schwestern,
Helft mir verscheuchen
Eine thörichte Bangigkeit;
Daß ich mit klarem
Aug' ihn empfange,
Ihn, die Quelle der Freudigkeit.

Bist, mein Geliebter,
Du mir erschienen,
Giebst du mir, Sonne, deinen Schein?
Laß mich in Andacht,
Laß mich in Demuth,
Laß mich verneigen dem Herren mein.

Streuet ihm, Schwestern,
Streuet ihm Blumen,
bringet ihm knospende Rosen dar.
Aber euch, Schwestern,
Grüß' ich mit Wehmuth,
Freudig scheidend aus eurer Schaar.
Modernized spelling would change "thörichte" to "törichte", "giebst" to "gibst", "Demuth" to "Demut", "Wehmuth" to "Wehmut", and "Schaar" to "Schar"

Ajudeu‑me, germanes
(Sung text translation for setting by R. Schumann)
 See original
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Ajudeu-me, germanes,
amables, a abillar-me,
avui, presteu servei a l’afortunada que sóc jo.
Sol•lícites, lligueu
al meu front
la florida corona nupcial.

Quan jo, contenta,
amb el cor joiós,
estava entre els braços de l’estimat,
ell sempre invocava,
amb el cor ple d’anhel,
impacient, el dia d’avui.

Ajudeu-me, germanes,
ajudeu-me a fer fugir
una estulta temença;
que el rebi amb
un límpid esguard,
a ell, la font de la joia.

Ets tu, estimat meu,
el que se m’ha aparegut,
per donar-me, oh sol meu, la teva llum?
Deixa que amb fervor,
deixa que amb humilitat,
m’inclini davant el meu senyor.

Tireu-li, germanes,
tireu-li flors,
feu-li ofrena de roses poncelles.
Però a vosaltres, germanes,
us dic adéu amb melangia
deixant joiosa la vostra companyia.
