Ja, om jeg stod som en Gud paa Bjerget
og skuéd ind i dens Herlighed,

O, stolt Gulnare! — Du skjænked aldrig
din Pages Ydmyghed Smilets Løn,
men jeg har hulket for dig i Nætter
