So wie in einem Juwelenschrein.

Die Sehnsucht schimmert aus Perlen reich,
Die oftmal werden zu Thränen gleich;

Der Glaube leuchtet mit blauem Schein,
Die Hoffnung schimmert smaragden drein;

Und in der Tiefe, wo's glühend loht,
Da flammt die Liebe rubinenroth.

Da zuckt der gold'ne Strahl der Lust,
Daß laut es klingt in meiner Brust:
