Rosenzeit
 (Sung text for setting by G. Schumann)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Nun stehn die Rosen in Blüte,
die Liebe webt ihr Netz so fein.
Mein flatterhaft Gemüthe,
Dich fangen sie nicht ein.

Und blieb' ich träumend hangen
In dieser jungen Rosenzeit
An schönsten Rosenwangen,
Meine Jugend thäte mir leid.

Ich mag nur lachen und singen,
Durch blühende Wälder schweift mein Lauf;
Mein Herz will sich erschwingen
Bis in die Wipfel hinauf!
