Victoria, Christo resurgenti
(Sung text for setting by F. Couperin)
 Matches base text
Language: Latin
Our translations:  SPA
Victoria, Christo resurgenti,
Christo triumphanti,
applaudant sidera. Alleluya.
Haec est dies quam fecit Dominus,
dies solemnitatis, dies laetitiae,
dies victoriae,
in qua surrexit, victa morte,
rex immortalis gloriae.
Sic Jesus, pastor bonus,
morte mortem voluit domare,
morte hostem voluit fugare.
O Jesu, salus, lux et vita,
presta ut nos resurgamus
ut tecum semper vivamus
in eterna saecula. Alleluya.

Composition:

Set to music by François Couperin (1668 - 1733), "Victoria, Christo resurgenti" [ chorus ], motet
