Sonntag früh
(Sung text for setting by G. Jenner)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Am frühen Sonntagmorgen,
Da geh' ich gern hinaus,
Und alle engen Sorgen
Lass' ich im engen Haus.

Der Wind in Klüften kauert,
Traut sich nicht in die Welt.
Ein Wehen Gottes schauert
Nur sanft durch's Ährenfeld.

Und so durch's Herz von Leiden
Und Freuden schwellend, geht
In lieblichem Bescheiden
Ein flüsterndes Gebet.
