Märchenkunde
(Sung text for setting by W. Berger)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im grünen Garten wandl' ich
Zur stillen Mittagszeit,
Und leichter wird das Herz mir
In dieser Einsamkeit.

Da denk' ich an die Liebste
Im fernen Heimathland,
Da blitzt im Sonnenlichte
Der Ring an meiner Hand.

Und alte Sagen kommen
Vor meinen Sinn aufs Neu': --
So lang das Ringlein glänzet,
Ist sie gesund und treu!
