Le fleuve ensanglanté des feuilles en détresse
Nous entraîne... Les cieux ont le regret du jour
Dans leurs mauves éteints... Errons, ô ma Maîtresse,
Tristes d'avoir perdu le désir de l'amour.

L'onde entraîne, parmi les feuilles en détresse,
Nos rêves sans audace et nos pâles soupirs...
Oublions le déclin de l'heure, ô ma Maîtresse,
Et rallumons en nous les fervents souvenirs.
