Na koho pokynuv Bat'ka, nen'ku staren'kuju, Molodu divčynu? Na čužyni ne ti ljudy, — Tjažko z nymy žyty! Ni z kym bude poplakaty, Ni pohovoryty». Sydyt' kozak na tim boci, — Hraje synje more. Dumav, dolja zustrinet'sja, — Spitkalosja hore. A žuravli letjat' sobi Dodomu ključamy. Plače kozak — šljachy byti Zarosly ternamy.
