Saknad
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Eg veit so vel, det finst ein Skatt,
som vel eg hava maatte;
og ingen Mann det vilde skadt,
um eg den Skatten aatte.
Og fann eg den, var allting vel;
eg skulde vera rik og sæl.
Men aldri veit eg Grunnen,
der han skal verda funnen.

Eg veit so vel, det finst ein Stad,
kann henda nær ved Sida,
der vist eg skulde verda glad
og gløyma burt all Kvida.
Og kom eg der, so fekk eg naa
den Ting, som mest eg sakna maa.
Men det er heile Skaden:
eg finner aldri Staden.

Eg veit so vel, det finst ein Barm
med same Kjensla inne,
med same Hug og same Harm
og same Von og Minne.
Og fann eg den, vardt allting rett,
og Livet skulde skrida lett.
Men det er verst aa minnast:
me skulo aldri finnast.
