In den seidnen Locken wühlen.
Teilt ich mit euch diese Lust!

Hin zu dir von jenen Hügeln
Emsig dieses Bächlein eilt.
Wird ihr Bild sich in dir spiegeln,
Fließ zurück dann unverweilt!

Deze vogels in de lucht,
Zullen jou, godin, aanschouwen;
Neem mij mee in jullie vlucht!
 
Deze winden zullen spelen,
Schertsend rond jouw borst en wang,
En je zijden lokken strelen;
Mocht ik meedoen in 't gedrang!
 
Vlijtig zie ‘k dit beekje wieg’len
Van die heuvels naar jou heen.
Zal haar beeld zich in jou spieg’len,
Vloei naar hier dan weer meteen!
