Ich bin die Reb'

Ich bin die Reb', o komm, und sei der Rebe Die Ulm', um die ich meine Ranken webe. Ich bin der Epheu, sei mein Stamm, o Ceder, Daß ich nicht dumpf am feuchten Boden klebe. Ich bin der Vogel, komm und sei mein Flügel, Daß ich empor zu deinem Himmel schwebe. Ich bin das Roß, o komm und sei mein Sporen, Daß ich zum Ziel auf deiner Rennbahn strebe. Ich bin das Rosenbeet; sei meine Rose, Daß ich nicht Nahrung niedrem Unkraut gebe. Ich bin der Ost, geh auf in mir, o Sonne, Erheb' dich, Licht, aus meinem Dunstgewebe. Ich bin die Nacht, sei meine Sternenkrone, Daß ich im Finstern vor mir selbst nicht bebe.
