Auch das Mäuschen ist voll Schrecken

Und es eilt sich zu verstecken
Wenn du schreist: miau, miau.

Truly, your little tail is twitching,
And you are hunting sparrows.
Even the little mouse, in its fur coat,
So soft and grey, is full of terror.
And it hurries to conceal itself
When you scream: meow, meow!
