Vom Haselnüsschen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Jetzt kommt das Träubchen,
Bald das Nüsschen auch.
Dann gehn wir in den Wald,
Plündern den Strauch.

Nusskernchen süss und weiss,
Wie hast du dich versteckt,
Dich vor der Sonne heiss
Mit grünem Laub bedeckt!

Die Wachtel hat's gesagt,
Du wärst noch hier,
Jetzt wirst du aufgekracht,
Das sag' ich dir.

About the little hazelnut
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Now comes the little cluster,
Soon the little nut, too.
Then we shall go into the forest,
To plunder the bush.

Nut kernel, sweet and white,
How you have hidden yourself
From the hot sun,
Covered with green foliage!

The quail said
That you were still here,
Now you shall be cracked open,
I tell you that.
