by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben (1798 - 1874)

Ich weiss zwei Blümlein blau
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich weiß zwei Blümlein blau
auf einer lichten Au.
Kein Blümlein jemals blühte,
was diesen beiden glich;
sie blüh'n voll Lieb' und Güte
so süß, so minniglich.

Wenn ich die Blümlein schau',
die beiden Blümlein blau,
dann muss mein Herz gesunden
von allem seinem Leid,
sein harret alle Stunden
nur Freud' und Fröhlichkeit.

Ihr blauen Blümelein,
o werdet bald doch mein!
Mein Herz soll euer Garten,
soll eure Heimat sein,
treu will ich eurer warten
bis an das Ende mein!
