de la peste et de la lèpre.
Si c'est pour ma pénitence que vous l'envoyez,
Seigneur, laissez-la moi, merci.
Si c'est le diable qui le conduit

Goître, goître, sors de ton sac,
sors de mon cou et da ma tête!
Feu Saint Elme, danse de Saint Guy,
Si c'est le Diable qui vous conduit

Wenn es der Teufel lenkt,
dann soll er von hier wegtraben.

Bewahre uns vor der Flechte und vor Pickeln,
vor der Pest und Lepra.
Wenn Du sie mir zur Buße geschickt hast,
Herr, dann lasse sie bei mir, ich danke Dir.
Wenn der Teufel dahinter steckt,
dann soll er von hier wegtraben.

Kropf, Kropf, hüpf’ aus deinem Beutel,
verschwind’ aus meinem Hals und Kopf!
Elmsfeuer und Veitstanz,
wenn der Teufel dahinter steckt,
oh Gott, dann lasse ihn von hier verschwinden.

Mach’, dass ich schnell groß werde
