Göttermahl
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wo die Tannen finstre Schatten werfen
über Hänge goldbesonnt,
unverwundet von der Firne Schärfen
blaut der reine Horizont,

wo das Spiel den rastlos wehnden Winden
kein Gebälk und keine Mauer wehrt,
wo, wie einer dunklen Sorge Schwinden,
jede Wolke sich verzehrt,

wo das braune Rind, wie Juno schauend,
weidet und mit heller Glocke tönt,
wo das Zicklein, lüstern wiederkäuend,
den bemoosten Felsen krönt,

schlürf ich kühle Luft und wilde Würzen,
mit den selgen Göttern kost ich da
- die mich nicht aus ihrem Himmel stürzen -
Nektar und Ambrosia!
