Der Festschmuck
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Mein art'ger Page, bringe mir
   Das Kleid von Linnen weiß und fein,
   Den Mantel grün im Silberschein,
   Und meiner gold'nen Kette Zier.
    Auch schnüre die beros'ten Schuh'
   Sorgsam mit goldnem Bande zu;
   Kurz, nimm hübsch Alles wohl in Acht,
   Was Einen blank und zierlich macht.

Und du, mein liebes Saitenspiel,
   Komm, stimme rein Dich, klar und hell;

The festive garb
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
My courteous page, bring me
   The garment of linen white and fine,
   The green coat in its silvery sheen,
   And the adornment of my golden chain.
   As well, lace up my shoes with their rosettes
   Carefully with golden ribbons;
   In short, take good care with everything
   That makes a man well turned out.

And you, my beloved stringed instrument,
   Come, let yourself be tuned well, clearly and brightly;
   I know, my friendly companion,
   That you harbour many chivalrous songs.
   Give of the best of them a choir today[.]
   I tell you, joyfully and secretly,
   What delights me more than song and wine:
   Isula shall be at the festival!
