Nymphes des bois et des fontaines, 
Amies bienfaisantes, je suis là. 
Ne vous cachez pas, mais venez m'aider 
car je suis fort en peine de tant de fleurs cueillies.

Je veux choisir dans toute la forêt 
une pauvre hamadryade aux bras levés, 
et dans ses cheveux couleur de feuilles 
je piquerai ma plus lourde rose.

Voyez : j'en ai tant pris aux champs 
que je ne pourrai les rapporter si vous 
ne m'en faites un bouquet. Si vous refusez, 
prenez garde :

Celle de vous qui a les cheveux orangés 
je l'ai vue hier saillie comme une bête 
par le satyre Lamprosathès, et je dénoncerai l'impudique.
