In unserm Orte steht ein Haus
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
[In unserm Orte steht ein Haus,]1
Da geh'n wir täglich ein und aus;
Da lernen wir so mancherlei
Und sind gesund und froh dabei.
Die Schule ist ein Freudenort,
Da hören wir von Gottes Wort;
Die Kinder alle lieben sich
So brüderlich, so schwesterlich.
Die Schule ist für uns gewiß
Ein schönes Kinder-Paradies.

In our town there stands a house
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
[In our town there stands a house]1,
There we pass in and out daily;
There we learn many different things
And are healthy and happy doing so.
The school is a place of happiness,
There we hear about God's Word;
The children all love each other
Like brothers, like sisters.
To us the school surely is
A paradise for children.
