by Paul Barthélemy Jeulin (1863 - 1936), as Paul Gravollet

La valse des follets
Language: French (Français)
Les follets valsent sur les eaux ;
Ils valsent sur l’eau brune,
Passant entre les roseaux
Au clair de la lune.

Dans les roseaux à qui le vent,
Sur l’île déserte,
Fair chanter, en les soulevant,
Leur valse verte.

Ils dansent, les joyeux lutins,
Dans la blanche lumière,
Ils vont danser jusqu’au matin
Luer valse coutumière :

Le rythme est enlaçant
L'orchestre des roseaux entraîne,
Sautant, tourbillonnant, valsant,
Les esprits de la plaine.

L'étoile du matin, seule dans le ciel luit,
Les follets valsent encore.
Mais soudain, les danseurs on fui.
Voici l'aurore !
