sdegnato à replicar colpi gelosi

messager importun d'amours mal acceptés,
de sorte que mes baisers d'une ardeur si brûlante
ont laissé l'empreinte de mes lèvres sur toi.

Combien de fois baigné de mes larmes
t'ai-je fait témoin de ma douleur,
quand exclus et déçu, fou de fureur,
la colère d'un démon adoré me laisse dehors.

Combien nuit et jour de retour avec toi
de coups pleins de jalousie et répétés, 
à ton préjudice, les autres riaient de notre humiliation.

Mais toi, pardonne mes emportements amoureux,
et j'espère enfin que la récompense, un jour,
de mes tourments et ton repos, je les verrai.
