Everything now wishes to shroud itself and lose its colour,
Days of fog breed fear and anxieties,
After the storm-filled night ice rattles in the morning,
Farewell weeps, the world is full of dying.

You, too, learn to die and to resign yourself,
To know how to die is a holy knowledge.
Be prepared for death - and, enraptured,
You shall enter into higher life!
