Liebliche Miranda, ich will, dass nur ein lauwarmer Hauch, ein Atem, eine Brise die goldenen Spitzen Deiner Haare lockt. Die Kelche der Fingerhüte werden klingen, die Heckenrosen erblühen auf Deiner Stirn in weißen Blüten wenn Du vorübergehst. Unter dem Birkenlaub wird Dein Haar an Deinem gelockten Kopf erhellen und im tiefen Tal siehst Du wie das Wasser blau wird. Das Wasser des hellen oder dunklen Sees ist ein wechselnder Spiegel des Sommerhimmels, der bei dessen Fröhlichkeit lächelt und bei seiner Dunkelheit traurig wird. Er ist, leider Gottes, Sinnbild des liebenden Herzens, in dem sich die Wehmut oder die Fröhlichkeit des allzu sehr geliebten Wesen widerspiegelt.
