by Stéphan Bordèse (1847 - 1919)

Salut lieu tant aimé
Language: French (Français)
Salut, lieu tant aimé,
Retraite solitaire
Où dans l'air embaumé
Plane, en un doux mystère,
Son charmant souvenir,
C'est un peu d'elle même,
Qui semble ici venir
Apprendre que je l'aime.

Vous, Poètes des bois,
Oiseaux, troupe joyeuse,
Chantez, et que vos voix
Ramènent l'oublieuse
Vers ce rocher, jadis
Témoin de ses alarmes
Où maintenant un lys
Me rappelle ses charmes.

Mais pourquoi ce lys blanc,
Incliné sur sa tige,
Dont le parfum troublant
me donne le vertige ?
Est-ce toi qui reviens
Ou te métamorphoses,
Toi qui te ressouviens
Que les sœurs sont les roses ?
