Drang in die Ferne
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
Vater, du glaubst es nicht,
Wie's mir zum Herzen spricht,
Wenn ich die Wolken seh',
Oder am Strome steh',

Wolkengold, Wellengrün
Ziehen so leicht dahin,
Weilen im Sonnenlicht,
Aber bei Blumen nicht.

Zögern und rasten nie,
Eilen als wüßten sie
Ferne und ungekannt
Irgend ein schön'res Land.

Ach! von Gewölk und Fluth
Hat auch mein wildes Blut
Heimlich geerbt den Drang,
Stürmet die Welt entlang!

Vaterlands Felsenthal
Wird mir zu eng, zu schmal;
Denn meiner Sehnsucht Traum
Findet darin nicht Raum.

Laßt mich! ich muss, ich muss
Fordern den Scheidekuss.
Vater und Mutter mein,
Müsset nicht böse seyn:

Hab' euch ja herzlich lieb,
Aber ein wilder Trieb
Jagt mich waldein waldaus,
Weit von dem Vaterhaus.

Sorgt nicht durch welches Land
Einsam mein Weg sich wand,
Monden- und Sternenschein
Leuchtet auch dort hinein.

Überall wölbt's Gefild'
Sich den azurnen Schild,
Den um die ganze Welt
Schirmend der Schöpfer hält.

Ach und wenn nimmermehr
Ich zu euch wiederkehr',
Lieben, so denkt er fand
Glücklich das schön're Land.

Pruïja vers la llunyania
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Pare, no et creuràs pas
com em parla el cor
quan veig els núvols
o estic a la vora del riu.

El color daurat dels núvols, el verd de les ones,
se’n van tan fàcilment més enllà,
resten a la llum del sol
però no entre les flors.

Mai hesiten ni s’aturen,
s’apressen com si sabessin
que lluny i ignot
hi ha un país més formós.

Ai! Dels núvols i de les aigües,
la meva sang furient també
ha heretat secretament la pruïja
de llançar-se a través del món!

La vall enclotada del meu país
m’ha esdevingut massa angosta, massa petita,
car els meus somnis plens d’anhel
aquí ja no troben espai.

Deixeu-me marxar! Us haig
de demanar un bes de comiat,
pare meu i mare meva
no us heu d’enutjar:

jo us estimo de tot cor,
però un impuls ferotge
m’empeny vers la forest i més enllà,
lluny de la casa paterna.

No us capfiqueu per saber a quin país
s’adreçarà el meu camí solitari,
la llum de la lluna i les estrelles
també resplendiran allà.

Arreu, els camps s’escuden
sota la volta de l’atzur,
car damunt el món sencer
hi ha el Creador protegint-los

Ah, i si mai més
no torno amb vosaltres,
estimats, penseu que feliçment
he trobat un país més formós.
