Endavant, caçadors, lliures i eixerits! Traieu els fusells de la paret! Els valents lluiten contra el món! Endavant vers l’enemic! Endavant vers el camp! Per la pàtria alemanya! De l’oest, del nord, del sud i de l’est, ens empeny el corrent de revenja. Dels rius Oder, Weser, Main, de l’Elba i del nostre pare el Rin, i de la vall del Danubi. Però, germans, estem tots junts, i això fa augmentar el nostre coratge, el vincle sagrat de la llengua ens uneix, i un Déu, i una pàtria, una fidel sang alemanya. No per anar a conquerir hem deixat la llar paternal, lluitem contra l’infame poder del tirà en joiosa batalla, i això mereix la nostra sang. Per a qui fidelment ens ha estimat, que el Senyor sigui el seu escut, ho pagarem amb la nostra sang, car la llibertat és el bé més preuat, encara que costi milers de vides.
