by Ludwig Wilhelm Friedrich Seeger (1810 - 1864)

Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lüftchen flüstern in dem Haine,
Traulich rauscht der Erlenbach;
Einsam in dem Sternenscheine
Zieh' ich meiner Liebe nach.

Was mit sehnendem Verlangen
Träumerisch im Herzen lag,
Ist mir leuchtend aufgegangen
An dem schönsten Frühlingstag.

Alle Blumen sind entsprossen,
Himmelsthau hernieder quillt,
Friedensengel, lichtumflossen,
Schweben um das theure Bild.

Haucht als Schlummers Angebinde
Engel! ihr der Liebe Kuß,
Wirket, daß sie leis empfinde
Ihres Freundes stillen Gruß!
