in dämmrigem Mondenschein,
wie arme, verlaßene Seelen
jammernd die Kiebitze schrein.
 
Finster ist meine Stirne,
die Nacht ist stumm und weit,
es jammert in meiner Seele
die Hoffnungslosigkeit.
