by Manfred Kyber (1880 - 1933)

Klein Maryke
Language: German (Deutsch)
Klein Maryke ist einmal
[übers]1 Land gegangen.
Hat ein goldner Sonnenstrahl
sich im Haar verfangen.
Klein Maryke hielt ihn fest,
daß er nimmer von ihr läßt.
Und die Leute kamen her
und die wunderten sich sehr,
sprachen her und sprachen hin:
Guck, die kleine Königin!
Klein Maryke hat gelacht
und hat nichts dazu gesagt.
Klein Maryke ging vorbei,
hat’s gewußt, was besser sei:
auf der Au zur Königswahl
Kronen zu erlangen
oder einen Sonnenstrahl
sich ins Haar zu fangen.
