Dämmerung

Auf zerrissnen Saiten klagt der Winterwind
um vergang'ne Zeiten, die nun Schatten sind.

Um verwelkte Kränze irrt ein letzter Schein,
zitternd an der Grenze zwischen Traum und Sein.

Aus der Dämm'rung Falten drängen sich herzu
graue Nachtgestalten, Seelen ohne Ruh.

In vergess'ner Ferne weint ein altes Weh.
Silbern schaun die Sterne auf den bleichen Schnee.
