by Bernhardt Severin Ingemann (1789 - 1862)

Salomons sang med brevduen
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Der flyver en due fra bjerg til dal
Med blomster under sin vinge.
Den kommer fra Sulamiths vinløvsal;
Til Salomons hånd skal den blomsterbrevskabet bringe.

Velkommen, du budskab med engleflugt!
Velkommen, Sulamiths due!
Dit vingeslag klapprer i luften smukt,
Og liflig er kjærlighedsfuglens flagren at skue.

Jeg løser fra vingen dit blomsterbrev
Med duft fra salige dage.
På palmeblad Sulamiths Priis jeg skrev;
Flyv, kjærlighedsfugl, med min høisangs blomster til bage!
