Terra e mare

I pioppi, curvati dal vento
rimugghiano in lungo filare.
Dal buio, tra il sonno, li sento
e sogno la voce del mare.

E sogno la voce profonda
dai placidi ritmi possenti;
mi guardan, specchiate dall'onda,
le stelle del cielo fulgenti.

Ma il vento piu' forte tempesta
de' pioppi nel lungo filare.
Dal sonno giocondo mi desta...
Lontana è la voce del mare!

Los chopos curvados del viento
dan vueltas en su largo pensar
del ruido, tras el sonido, los siento
y sueño que son la voz del mar. 

Y sueño la voz tan profunda
de plácidos ritmos potente
me miran, espejadas en la ola
las estrellas del cielo fulgente. 

Pero el viento más fuerte molesta
a los chopos en su hondo pensar
del sonido feliz me despierta
Lejana está la voz del mar.
