Seltenes Glück
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG ITA
Ein Stand, der ohn Gefahr ist,
ein guter Ruhm, der wahr ist,
ein Capital, das baar ist,
ein Essen, das fein gar ist,
ein Trunck, der frisch und klar ist,
ein Weib, das guter Haar ist,
und unter zwanzig jahr ist,
wenn dies zusammen dar ist,
das heißt ein Glück, das rar ist.

Rare luck
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
A state which is without danger,
good fame which is true,
capital which is cash,
food which is finely cooked,
drink which is fresh and clear,
a woman with good hair,
and under twenty years;
if this is all together,
it's called luck, which is rare.
