from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Vspomni, vspomni, moja dorogaja
Language: Russian (Русский)
Vspomni, vspomni, moja ljubeznaja, moju prežnjuju ljubov'.
Ach, kak my s toboj, moja dorogaja, pogulivali,
Temnye osennie noči prosiživali,
Tajnye, serdečnye reči govarivali:
Tebe, moj drug moj, ne ženit'sja, mne zamuž nejti!
Skoro, skoro, moj ljubeznyj, peredumali:
Ty ženis', ženis', moj milyj, a ja zamuž pojdu!
Pri doline, v čistom pole, stoit nov terem.
V tom li novom teremočke devuški pojut.
Znat'-to, znat', moju ljubeznuju zamuž otdajut!
Sredi dvora stoit krylečko raskrašennoe,
S togo kryl'ca veli k vencu krasnu devicu-dušu;
Odin vedet ee za ručen'ku, a drugomu-to žal',
Stoit tretij, ronit slezy: ljubil da ne vzjal.
Kormil, poil ljubeznuju, vse pročil sebe;
Dostalasja ljubeznaja inomu - ne mne.
Chorošaja, prigožaja, prostisja so mnoj!
JA by rada, drug, prostilas' – volja ne svoja;
Kak žila ja u batjuški, mne volja byla.
Pomnit' budu, drug ljubeznyj, vse laski tvoi,
Kak sojdemsja, obojmemsja, družoček s toboj,
Raschodivšis', slezy l'jutsja, radost', dorogoj.
