from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Neen, noch hebbic ghene noot
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Neen, noch hebbic ghene noot,
Noch en is mijn borse niet plat;
Hupse meisjes, wijn ende broot
Vindic noch in elker stat.
Tis aen elken cant ende strant
Ieder lant mijn vaderlant.

Wat ic soec, ten is niet ver,
Bliden moet begheeft mi niet.
Door den nacht noch blinct mijn ster
Als het dachlicht henen vliet.
Sterren vindic noch ghenoech,
Son ende maen aen menighen croech.

Lustich blijf ic altemael,
Lustich wat mijns ooc gheschiet.
Sinct mi niet den nachtegael,
Singhic selve mi een liet.
Mach ic altijt lustich sijn,
So is al die werelt mijn!
